Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill Review

imageIf you’re on the market for a treadmill to help you reach your fitness goals at home, then you may be finding all of the options available to be a tad overwhelming. Choosing the right treadmill isn’t something you wanna jump into blindly seeing as how you’ll be dropping a good chunk of change on this piece of equipment and hopefully getting a lot of use out of it. I’ve been researching my butt off trying to find the best treadmills to choose from and have done a pretty good job—if I do say so myself!—of compiling all the necessary information needed to write a detailed and helpful review of the Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill. Hopefully you’ll find this information as helpful as I did in narrowing down my choices.

Features

The most impressive thing about this treadmill is the power it offers. The last thing you want to do is buy a treadmill that isn’t powerful enough to handle your fitness needs or your ever-improving stamina and speed. I’m not saying that this treadmill was made strictly for those who plan to use it for some hardcore running, but rather that it’s good to have one that will be just as efficient for you no matter what your level of fitness or intensity. That said, the Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill has a 3.0 horsepower motor that offers continuous duty. This is great in comparison to the other treadmills on the market in the price range that Amazon is offering this one at!

The Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill also offers 15 workout programs to choose from so you can mix things up as well as a manual setting so you can just hop on and start moving at whatever pace you want. Some of the programs are geared to keep you working out in your target heart rate range while others really kick things up for some serious cardio and fat burning. The options are endless!

Another feature that’s sure to please is its ability to fold up for easy storing. This makes it great for small spaces like apartments and condos. And, it’s got all kinds of other cool features too. Check them out:

  • A speed range of 0.5 to 11 miles per hour (0.8 to 17.7 km per hour) accommodates the different fitness levels of everyone in the household as well as your needs as you improve and build stamina.
  • Quick speed and incline keys mean that you can quickly change the intensity of your workout while in motion.
  • An incline range of 0 to 12 percent allows you to raise the angle that you walk/run at for a harder workout. (Great for your butt and thighs!)
  • 2 fully customizable programs that you can program to your exact wants and needs.image
  • LCD computer display that keeps you on top of your speed, intensity level, calories burned, heart rate, and more.
  • Grip and telemetric heart rate monitors help to keep you in your target heart range for a better workout since being below or above your range can render your workout pretty much useless, making this feature a really important one.
  • User Weight of up to 300lbs (136 kg) accommodates everyone in your household.
  • Strike Zone deck cushioning provides for lower impact so that your knees and other joints don’t have to take a beating even while running at full speed.
  • A sturdy two-ply belt made last even through a lot of use.
  • A walking/running surface area of 20 inches wide x 60 inches long so you can run with ease.
  • Built-in fan with 3 speeds helps to keep you cool during your workout.
  • 2 built-in bottle/cup holders so you can stay hydrated. Very important!
  • Quiet operation which is great if you live in an apartment or with others.

Reviews – What People Are Saying

After reading through literally hundreds of reviews on the Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill, it’s safe to say that this is one popular piece of workout equipment! You consistently read about how well it works, how smooth the run is, and how easy it is to use. To give you a better idea of what kinds of reviews it’s getting, here are some highlights from reviews that I found:

“This was a present for my daughter and she couldn’t be happier with it. We did alot of research and found the best reviews for this one. It was well worth the price.”

“Overall,I am extremely satisfied with this top quality machine and would highly recommend to all my friends.Would definitely buy again.”

“I recieved my treadmill two week ago and it is outstanding. Better then the treadmills at my high priced gym. I highly recommend buying this treadmill!”

As you can see, this treadmill really does deliver and is as outstanding as Bowflex says it is.

I am definitely impressed!

Are there any negative points?

The only negative points I could find were the same ones mentioned in the reviews you just read. Basically the fan isn’t as strong as some would like and the machine is quite heavy—as expected for a gym-grade treadmill.

If you want to read all of the comments I came across, then check them out at Amazon.com where you’ll find hundreds of them to read over.

Cost and Where to Buy It

The Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill actually retails for around $2000 in most places but is being offered on Amazon.com for only $1299.   And, Amazon also offers free shipping on it which makes them the best bet for buying it if you’re looking for a deal.
