I’m trying to say goodbye to the gym so I can save some money in the long run and still get and stay fit…and lose some weight. I’m leaning towards an elliptical and have been researching the Schwinn 430 Elliptical Trainer since it seems to be a popular one. I’ve come across a lot of helpful information on it as well as loads of reviews—good and bad. I’ve put it all together so you can benefit from my in-depth review and decide if this machine is worth considering if you’re on the market for a piece of home work out equipment too.
A machine for everybody
Some machines are designed for advanced exercisers and then those that are intended for beginners. This can be kind of limiting so I was really happy to find that this is not the case with the Schwinn 430 Elliptical Trainer. And, this machine is also equipped with six user-profile programs, one calorie goal program and one manual program which really helps you mix it up and keep it interesting. Again, that’s a lot of bang for the buck!
Bio Glide Motion Technology
Gliding naturally puts less stress on your feet. Seeing this as a need, the makers of the Schwinn 430 made sure that theirs have a BioGlide motion technology. The trainers also come with a BioFit design providing the user with maximum comfort and protection while exercising. Thanks to its comfortable footpads and handlebars. The features do not stop there because the handlebars are not spared from them too. It has a heart rate monitoring device that allows you to monitor how your heart rate is going while exercising.
Quick Start function
Just as the name suggests, the Schwinn 430’s quick start function is very reliable. Similarly, it also lets you change the resistance levels just as easily. Come to think of it, everything comes easily whenever you are in the mood for a good challenge. Additionally there are other features that of this machine that are worth mentioning. Firstly, it has three excellent feedback programs such as the recovery mode, the results mode and the body mass index. Accordingly, you can use all of these three functions to determine if how far you have improved in your workout and, well, how much thinner you’re getting.
Eddy Current Brake Resistance
Elliptical users complain of elliptical trainers that stop abruptly, and this is something that was addressed in the making of the Schwinn 430. It has Eddy current brake resistance so you get a smooth and continuous ride that stops gently and is quiet.

The Schwinn 430 Elliptical Trainer comes with a pretty good warranty package that consists of:

I gotta tell you that this elliptical has gotten some pretty great reviews. On Amazon alone, the Schwinn 430 has gotten close to 500 reviews with the majority being really positive. I’ve listed a few words from others here to give you an idea of what people think of this machine:

“This thing works like a charm. I’m 6′/190 lbs and I go 30 minutes a day. Rock solid. A little squeaking on the rear rubber wheels at first but now that they’re broken in, nothing. Very smooth and sturdy. Excellent value. Electronics are fine thus far (1.5 months).”
“The Schwinn 430 eliptical was very easy to put together. I am a woman and put it together by myself in a few hours. I couldn’t get the electronics to work, but called customer service and they were very helpful and sent me the parts I needed. The machine is very quiet and the operation very smooth. There were a few who found the elliptical hard to put together and others who said the backlight in the console wasn’t as bright as it could be. There was also some mentioning of squeaking, but these were listed as only minor inconveniences.

Schwinn 430 elliptical Trainers are sold in department stores, sporting goods shops or specialty stores selling gym equipment.
