Obtaining Parts for Proform’s Treadmills

September 10, 2008 by Andy

Most of the Proform Treadmill parts are under warranty when a consumer purchases a Proform Treadmill, whether the purchase be directly through Proform or through a department store who carries the Proform brand. However, it is worth noting that a Proform Treadmill motor is warranties for eight years, while other parts and labor relating to the treadmill are warranted only for 90 days.

To order Proform Treadmill replacement parts, it is best to consult the manual, which was provided with the treadmill when it was purchased. If the original manual cannot be located, an additional one free of charge can be downloaded at Proform’s Web site.

When ordering parts through authorized service centers or over the phone through Proform’s Customer Service care, it is useful to have the Proform Treadmill parts’ model number, the name of the product, the serial number of the product, and the key number and description of the part. All this information can be obtained in the Proform Treadmill manual.

It also is important to understand that parts usually only have a limited warranty, which means that if a part breaks due to freight damage, abuse, misuse, improper or abnormal usage or repairs, the repair or replacement of that part will not fall under warranty. And always check if the warranty can be transfered–if it cannot, the cost of Proform Treadmill parts that need to be repaired or replace will be the responsibility of the consumer. However, if there are defects in workmanship and material, and under normal use and service conditions the part breaks, and the warranty is applicable, the warranty will cover any replacement or repair costs.
